The year 9 course introduces students to the many elements of Drama through experiences in Improvisation, Shakespeare, Movement, Playbuilding and Commedia d'ell Arte.
Year 10 Drama expands the performance skills students have developed in Year 9. Students start to look at more challenging theatre techniques and theatre practitioners. The curriculum play allows students to explore dramatic techniques and performance skills which have been learnt in the course and consolidate these skills in a highly refined production.
Below is the assessment criteria for the HSC Drama course. Please realise there is a written component of 40%. The course is challenging!!!

Written Exams are in the normal exam period ( 40%)
Year 11 Drama is a highly energetic course which prepares students for the approaches needed to develop their Year 12 Practical work.
The Year 12 Drama course provides students with the opportunity to explore and demonstrate the wide range of skills they have developed in Drama. Students complete two text areas, Australian and a non Australian option. Each student selects an Individual Project to develop and a Group Project is completed in term 2 of Year 12. The HSC Exam Marks consist of 20% I.P,
20% G.P, 30% Australian Text Area, 30% NOn Australian Text Area
